This document describes the technical architecture and data practices currently implemented on the Wellume public website. Formal corporate registration data, designated legal jurisdiction, and external counsel-ratified regulatory provisions are subject to final ownership review.
1. Commitment to Data Minimization
Wellume is engineered as a static-first, content-focused publishing platform. We believe that user privacy is best protected by not collecting unnecessary personal data in the first place.
We do not require user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles to browse our public articles, reviews, ingredient profiles, comparisons, or buying guides.
2. Technical Log Data & Edge Delivery
When you access Wellume, our content delivery network and edge hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) automatically processes standard HTTP request headers required for network transmission:
- Server Log Information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, requesting timestamp, and requested resource path.
- Purpose & Security: This telemetry is processed transiently to ensure edge network security, mitigate Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, and maintain server reliability. We do not use server logs to construct personal user profiles.
3. Site Search & Client-Side Execution
Our website search feature is powered by Pagefind, a static search library. When you perform a search on Wellume:
- Search queries are processed locally within your web browser against pre-indexed static files.
- Your search keywords are not transmitted to third-party advertising data brokers or behavioral targeting networks.
4. Outbound Links & Third-Party Retailers
Wellume contains links to external websites, including brand retailers, commercial merchants, and scientific research repositories. When you click an outbound link:
- You leave the Wellume platform and navigate to a domain governed by that third party's independent privacy policy and terms.
- We do not share your browsing history or personal health information with destination merchants.
- We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external website you visit.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
Wellume does not deploy unsolicited third-party advertising tracking cookies upon landing on our editorial pages.
For detailed information about our minimal cookie usage and instructions on managing browser storage, please review our Cookie Policy.
6. Childrenโs Privacy
Wellume is directed toward adults seeking health, wellness, and consumer supplement information. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please notify us immediately so that we can remove it.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect technological enhancements, operational changes, or legal requirements. The updated version will be indicated by the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
8. Contact Information
